sp2 auto update switched off

Because that's what I have done.
Seeing all the problem posts I think that's the way I will keep it.
 
Just for info, I have installed SP2 today. No problems at all, however it
was still a 98M download on a system with all critical updates.

I had my machine configured to download sp2 automatically, but I decided to
download manually instead. I haven't had any problems. Maybe I'm one of
the few. jav, knocking on wood
