Yeah it has a 4 pin 12v connection on it.

Every PSU that you buy today will have a 20+4 pin and a 4 pin for the motherboard.

Good brands, Hiper, OCZ, Corsair to name a few. Don't go overboard on it as i don't think you need that much power. 450 - 550W should be plenty, unless you are gonna upgrade soon then get a bigger one.

thanks I think it should be a two pin connector less than half the size of a standard molex.

so I don't need to buy any special type for Socket A nice one thanks.

Greetings all from the problematic PC.

I got another PSU and it didn't show me any conclusive evidence that my current is causing all of these predicaments.

I spent a long time trying to get this thing back up sometimes when I got into Windows the keyboard and mouse wouldn't work and then BANG it would FREEZE. I know this much right now it is working after power cycling this thing 30 times 1 time it worked the other 29 it will not.

I don't plan to restart or shut her down unless my life depends on it.
But I do plan to upgrade as soon as per possible. I wish to start researching into the options available to me.

So the upgrade plan the THIRD time of asking seems to be on the cards, watch this space.

From a rather temporary happy PSD99.
