I have just installed xp and my sound wont work. I have
been through the trouble shooter and cant fix anything. I
am not sure which sound card i have or how to find out.

first, you can make sure that your sound card is supported by Windows XP.
to do that goto the card manufacturer's website.

if it is support, download and install the latest drivers from them.
