Sound schemes not playing

My sound schemes have stopped playing. I have checked all of the sound scheme
boxes and can test play the wave files. I have installed the power toy
utility and my General Page listing, doesn't have the 'beep on errors'
option. Also, some of the prompts that played a sound scheme now triggers a
beep from the computer case speaker.

Thanks for your help.
 
This just in....

The sound schemes work on other user accounts. They don't work for the
'admin' user account.
