Sound problem

I can no longer hear sound from a certain website which has midi music
(actually two websites) I can set my computer back to a certain date before
this happened and it works but when I come back to this date "nothing "it
seems all my devices are working so what could cause this?

Had this problem once,awhile back.
My sound card had several different settings for MIDI sounds I just changed
the setting and all started working once again,Just restore it to the time
it's working and leave it alone.
