Sound crackles when internet is in use....

Okay, so here is my problem:

I have a problem with my audio. For instence, lets say i'm
playing music, and i decide to surf the net or download a file or
whatever, at the same time. The internet will crackle and become
distorted only when the internet is active. So once the download is
complete or the page is done loading, it'll stop. It only started doing
this a few days ago...Heres what i've done so far:

1) reinstalled software for the sound card
2) Moved the sound card and my Wireless card(i have a d-link Air..??)
in hopes to get it to a differernt IRQ number, because i was told to do
so.
3) that didn't work, so i tried going into the BIOS and change the IRQ
channels...well heres the thing, the only IRQ settings i could find had
to do with the COMS port.

I have WIN XP PRO, 786 MB RAM, P4 1.4 GHz, 80 Gig HD, 850GB something
or other motherboard. It is a gateway and i think i should contact
them, however, i do not think they'll be helpful unless i call and pay
a ton of money, so i came here first...

If you have an answer or suggestion please let me know. This is driving
me nuts!

Is that "brob11"? If not then try searching for a similar thread by him,
try my suggestion regarding uniprocessor PC -> advanced config PC.
If it is "brob11", I guess it didn't work then?!

Ok,

I thought it was unlikely to cure your prob, but I thought there was a small
chance!

Good luck.
