speakers crackle when...

any animation (movement) on my screen, including moving my mouse makes my speakers crackle while there is music playing in the back. I have a five speaker system from Boston Acoustic and a Sound Blaster card on Windows XP. Every letter I type makes my speakers crackle. Any suggestions?
