Sound Card

I have been through absolutely every troubleshooting page I can find about
this and I am now being told that there is no sound card installed. Why is
that? - I've had sound up until Wednesday of this week - where can it be and
how do I get it back..does anyone know how I can do this...everything else is
working well on my PC - I just have no sound. My speakers are perfect -
tested them and no problems.
 
Your question has a better chance of being answered if you would describe
your problem in detail and explain exactly what you have attempted so far to
fix the problem. "I have been through absolutely every troubleshooting page
I can find about this" doesn't tell us anything.
