Greetings,

It looks like your XP system is looking for some CD ROM drivers. Try
installing your CD ROM drivers.

Thanks and best of luck!

You again! CD-ROM drives don't have drivers...

Most CD-ROMs of recent years do not need a special driver, if they use
the ATAPI....

CD drives haven't required separate drivers for about the last decade. So,
before flaming someone, get your facts straight. I'm still finding it
somewhat of a mystery that you can see my posts when you claim to have
kill-filed me...

First, I never claimed I "kill-filed" your posts. What I said was I was done
with you -- for that particular thread. Secondly, you stated that CD drives
"haven't required separate drivers for about a decade." No one mentioned
anything about "separate drivers." CD drives *do* require drives -- some of
which are cdrom.sys, imapi.sys, storprop.dll, and redbook.sys. You can
verify this in your Device Manger under CD/DVD drives. These drives *can*
become corrupt -- which require you to download or install them again.

A bit of advice: First, you do not know everything. Secondly, do not try to
act like you know everything. And last, but certainly not the least, try
helping out instead of demoralizing people who look for help. If you find
that you just cannot bring yourself to do that, then please find another NG.

I suggest you read Jose's post again. He said "install the CD drivers" does
this, or does this not intimate to you that he is referring to separate
drivers, hmm...?

CD
drives *do* require drives -- some of which are cdrom.sys, imapi.sys,
storprop.dll, and redbook.sys. You can verify this in your Device
Manger under CD/DVD drives. These drives *can* become corrupt --
which require you to download or install them again.

The 'drivers' are built into the OS and have been since 95.

A bit of advice: First, you do not know everything.

No, and I never claimed that I do - unlike some...

Secondly, do not
try to act like you know everything.

And I don't - unlike some...

And last, but certainly not the
least, try helping out

Sure I'll help you out - which way did you come in...?

Maybe you should take your own advice...?

instead of demoralizing people who look for

I only 'demoralise' those who deserve it (like you for example).

If you find that you just cannot bring yourself to do that,
then please find another NG.

As I said before, good advice - I suggest you act on it..
