Sort items on the SendTo menu?

Can anyone tell me how to sort the items that appear on the SendTo menu? I'm running WinXP Pro SP2.

I have a "SendTo" menu that I've expanded to over 100 entries. This is the menu that opens from the "Send To" item when you right-click on a file name in Windows Explorer. Its contents are unsorted. Each new entry appears at the tail end. This makes individual items on it hard to find.

I've tried right-clicking on a blank area of the menu, to get a menu with the option with "Sort by name" to appear, but right-clicking does nothing. Right-clicking directly on a menu item activates that item. I've tried opening the SendTo folder and sorting and resorting its contents, but this has no effect on the sort of the SendTo menu.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi Frank,

Go to Start/Run and type in: SendTo. Once there, go to View/Arrange Icons

Kelly,

Thank you.

This offers options to sort the entries in the SendTo folder window alphabetically, by date, etc., but whatever it does for the folder window, it does not sort the SendTo *menu* that way. It has no effect on the menu at all.

In Microsoft Word you can rearrange menu entries and group them, even insert separators. I wonder if there's a way in Windows.

I searched the registry, but I don't see any entry or list that looks at all like the SendTo menu.
