******Check page 98 of the owner's manual.*****

sony software works fine i can use it to play with my cam...but i am

Did you follow installation procedure, as given in Sony bumph, I think not

Not sure what you mean by ....bumph.....
but i did exactly what they ask in manual which came with it
and like i mention before...there is no problems in others
computers..soonest i plug in by usb port windows is picking it up and
shows as a dvd-rw drive...
in two others pc i didn't have to install any software any driver just
soonest i plug in to usb port i shows drive right a way.....
i checked my usb ports they all works good using my web cam...so it
may be something in bios?...just guess
thank you

Movie Maker can't import DVDs... you must convert the files to something
more suitable first.

See:

http://www.papajohn.org/MM2-Importing-Video-Discs.html

i want to make it clear

i dont have a problem with ...importing.....files jpg..and mpeg from
my video camera to a hard drive....i am using sony software....

the problem is I Can NOT see my sony dvd-rw drive in my pc....
that situation limited me just to sony program...any other cant
recognize it...like i said ...
when i hook up this camera to my sons pc...no problem i can see it..
clicking on my computer..it shows as a dvd-rw drive...
thank you regards
natka
