All,
I have been scanning the posts back a few days concerning
this anoying IE hanging for 20 seconds or so and i found
a post from an anonymous poster on March 2, 2004 at 5:20
PM suggesting that Spysweeper will fix the problem. I
too have tried all the other spyware crapware programs to
no avail. I went to www.spysweeper.com and downloaded
the program. Ran it and quarantined everything it
found. IT WORKED!!! I think the last update to IE 6
conflicted with something else that may ort may not have
been considered spyware. Whatever it was (my sweep found
5 software packages ans 2700 associated links) so I don't
know which one did it but i got rid of them all and it
worked. I suspect that some other programs will stop
working because of this operation but I can deal with
reloading some software.
Whover the original poster was GOOD JOB
