Whenever i try to plug in my mp3 player into the usb slot, a pop-up comes up that says sm1un.exe is needed. please specify the location to copy from. Then underneath this it says windows 98/2000 install cd needed. I tried to use the 98 cd and that didnt work so i tried to 2000 cd and that didnt work either. Then, i took my windows xp home edition cd and tried to re-install my entire operating system, just doing it upgrade so i would keep all my applications. When i tried to install it, i got a ton of pop-ups saying that it could not copy certain files from the cd. 95% of these files were in the i386 folder of the CD. for a couple of them, it said that if they were not installed, the system might not work properly. So now my system isnt even working at 100%. I thought it was just the mp3 player but i geuss i was wrong. Any suggestions? O yea, i also tried system restore. All that did was get rid of many of my applications. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
