Slow Shutdown Process

I am currently using Windows XP sp 2. When I go to hit the start button,
then turn off computer, it takes about 3 minutes for the shutdown / restart
screen to appear. Then, when I finally hit either shutdown or restart, it
takes another 3 - 4 minutes on the blue screen Computer is Shutting Down. I
have done almost everything it seems. I've set my ClearPageFileatShutdown to
0 , which some say to do, and I have set it to 1. I have done a bunch of
other things to my computer, but nothing seems to work. This only happens
though, when my computer has been on for longer than 30 minutes. If its
before 30 minutes, it shuts down fine.
