I have a 2003 ad domain, dns is fine. All xp workstations are pointing
to it and logging on with no problem.

I have one xp pro laptop that takes 3 minutes to logon. Checking the
userenv.log I get:

USERENV(7a0.7a4) 11:44:07:052 UnloadUserProfileP: Didn't unload user
profile <err = 5>
USERENV(7a0.7a4) 11:44:13:963 UnloadUserProfile: UnloadUserProfileP

USERENV(7a4.7a8) 11:45:04:500 CUserProfile::CleanupUserProfile: Ref

USERENV(7a4.7a8) 11:45:04:500 CUserProfile::CleanupUserProfile: Ref

USERENV(7a4.614) 11:48:43:795 ProcessGPOs: GetNetworkName failed with
10091.

laptop is patched and is not having any other problems.

thanks.

The profile may be damaged. Does it logon faster if logon using another username?

I tired logging as a different user and its doing the same thing. It
seems to only happen when I restart the computer. I can logon/logoff
after the first initial boot and there is no delay. I did upgrade the
driver for the NIC and changed the speed & duplex settings for the card
but that had no effect.

might have something to do with the order of when hardware/services are
starting???
