My computer is taking from 10 to 20 minutes to load, runs
fine once booted
I have new hard drive and memory working fine, running
very limited software to try to identify the problem...

Run bootvis (download off the net), to show where the hang up is. Or I would
unplug everthing sept the monitor including all usb stuff and reboot and see
if it hangs.

Found this on Symantec doc ID 2003100708212113 10/10/2003
This may be the answer to my slow start ups and to others
I have been reading.

Computer restart is slow after installing Common Client
1.09 update

Situation:
You ran LiveUpdate and downloaded the Common Client 1.09
update. After restarting the computer, you notice that it
takes much longer for Windows to open than it did before
you installed the update.

Solution:
Symantec is investigating this problem. The cause is
unknown, and there is no solution at this time. This
document will be updated when new information becomes
available or a solution is found.
