I want to slipstream an 'original' windows xp home cd
with sp2. Can anyone tell me if I need to include sp1 in
the slipstream or does sp2 incorporate sp1.

TIA
Robert

Hi Robert - No, you don't need to include SP1 - SP2 includes all previous
updates. BTW, if you aren't already aware of it, investigate AutoStreamer -

slipstreaming a breeze.

Hi Jim

Thanks for that and also for the link. I'll take a look
later.

I find that website from where Will suggested to go ,
sucks ... Whenever they have any types of options or
tweak to try things out , they never give the exact way
of doing so , its always something that will go
incorrect ... For instance that link that Will posted ,
If you try what they have there , you will find it
wouldn't work or the info is incorrect , or something is
missing , more or less incorrect data and i find that
often from that site ... Thats just my opinion

Sorry !!! I made an error i was viewing a different site
it wasn't that site Will suggested ... Sorry Will error
on my part

Hi

I've used that method without any problems. It's one of the most
straightforward ways of creating a slipsteamed CD that I have seen.

SP2 is complete - you do not need to involve SP1. Get the full SP2 .exe
file (eg the free CD) , do not try to do it from the parts that may
have downloaded from Update
