Lisa

I'm using PPT 2003... I've got an image as my slide
background, and though it appears fine on the screen, it
doesn't print out. I've got the 'Background Printing'
box selected on the Tools/Options tab, but it still
doesn't work. Anyone know of a fix? Thanks much!

Lisa,

The "Background Printing" option is really misleading.

It means "print this information....and let me continue to use powerpoint....while you print the info out...."

Is your printer a black and white printer?
Can you select the image in powerpoint?
Is the image on the slide master?or Format > Background > picture?

Yeah, it's black and white.... The image can't be
selected -- it's set as the background (format >
background picture). The background shows up in slide
view, but when I go to print preview it isn't there....

Try printing in Grayscale (File/Print) and see if that does the trick.
