Size Allocation To The Temporary Internet Files Folder

I am working on Win2K Pro & use IE6.0 as the default browser. The amount of disk space I always specify for the Temporary Internet Files folder is 1 MB (Tools--->Internet Options--->Settings) but often I find that after a few days, the size automatically increases to 298 MB! Why this anomaly? How do I avoid this?

Please note that I delete files from the Temporary Internet Files folder quite frequently by navigating to Tools--->Internet Options--->Delete Files (atleast 7-8 times in as many hours!!).

Thanks,

Arpan

1 MB is not enough. As a result, Windows ignores your request. Try
about 20 MB.
