Simulation Racing Games & Multi-player..

I can't get this Dirt Track Racing game to run online
through XP.. I have run all compatibiltiy wizards and
done all the updates of drivers, but still no results.. I
ran this game fine with 98se and cable but with XP and
cable, I can't stay connected to servers for online
races.. The game runs fine when I race against the
computer, but when I try to connect to the internet to
race real people, I get booted with an error message..
Sometimes no error messages are given.. I just lose
connection. Any Help would be appreciated, Thanks..

I get numerous kinds of error messages.. Most common is
DTR.exe has encountered a problem and has to close. So I
then send the error report.. Thanks..

Hi Derrick,
Are you running the latest version of the game?
http://www.atarisupport.com/faq/dirttrackdownloads_pc.asp?browser=1
If your using DirectX 9.0 which version is it (start > run dxdiag)? The
original version of 9.0 did have some problems which did affect some
multiplayer games, if your running v9.0 install 9.0b from the Windows Update
site. If you continue to have trouble it is probably best to email Atari
support (link at the bottom of the patch page).

Hey Mark, yes, I am running the latest version of the
game. I just saw that Direct X 9.0b came out so installed
it the other night.. Also, did a clean-install of game
again.. Haven't had a chance to run online yet, but I have
went and checked to see if I could connect to a server for
a minute or two.. So far so GOOD.. Thanks for your
help..

Still isn't working in Multi-player mode.. I do have a
list of the error reports that are brought up when the
game crashes back to desktop, if that would help..
