Hi Guys
Can someone tell me how to turn off the , having to click your user name
when windows starts.
I know it has to be here somewhere.
I don't use a password on my pc.
Thanks

Carl,

Shouldn't be there if you don't use a password; but if you have .net
installed; .net sometimes sets up another account; (.asp I think; if I
remember correctly);by default; and it'll cause you to have to do that.
Go to control panel>user accounts>Manage Accounts, and see if there is more
than just you and the guest account.
Also;if the guest account is on; it'll do that too.

Jeff

Hi Carl,

Click start, type CONTROL USERPASSWORDS2 and hit <enter>. Click continue,
then in the resulting dialog click on your user account if it is not
highlighted already. Uncheck the box that requires users to enter a user
name and password, then click apply/ok and follow the prompts.

As Jane C pointed out to me yesterday, this is a problem with RC1 that is
supposedly fixed in RC1.
I have the same problem after said fixes.

Hi Guys
I did have the .net account there ,I deleted this account and all is well
now.
I always did delete this account in XP and never had a problem.
I don't even know what this account is created for ,I know it is created
when I install net framework.
Thanks again
