Signature in OL 2003 not visible

I have Outlook 2003 (11.8118.8172) SP2. I followed the instruction and went
to Tool - Options-Mail Format-Signature and set up the same signature for new
mail and replies. I edited the sig so it was 12 pt RED Old English font. When
I send an email, the sig does not appear unless I hightlight it (Left mouse &
drag). It appears Outlook is setting the color to the same as the background.
This happens in HTML, Rich Text and Plain Text formats. Plus, Office 2003
cannot save the HTM file when I edit it there. What next?

Are you using stationery? Change it to none and see if that makes a difference.
