Odd signature behaviour on multiple accounts, plain text messages

Hi,

I've got a problem!

Using Outlook 2003 and Word as my email editor, set to write in HTML.

I have three accounts, all of which have different signatures for
composing and replying. My sigs have an image in them (company logo)

The correct signatures are used in composing and replying when using the
different accounts. BUT, when replying to a PLAIN TEXT email on any of
the accounts, the reply signatures screw up:-

When replying on my default account, the signature appears blank, but if
I right click where the sig should have been, I get confirmation that
the "reply" signature has been correctly attached. I can change the sig
to any other sig but there is another problem.

If I change the sig to the sig which is for my 2nd account, it displays
the sig of my default account for new messages. If I select the sig of
my third account it displays fine (this is true if this sig has or does
not have an image in it).

If I have received a Plain text email on my 2nd account and hit reply, I
get the signature of my default account for new messages, even though
right click confirms it is my 2nd account sig name that is inserted.
Changing the sig to any other sig appears to work (images dropped),
except wthe sig for my default account "reply sig". When selected this
it appears as the sig on a plain text reply when using the default
account, i.e. blank, but apparently is inserted. There is no way I am
able to select the sig for my second account if the email is plain text.

Suffice it to say that all the sigs work absolutely fine on all the
accounts if the mail message being replied to is in rich text or HTML.

Is this a known issue?

TIA

I was so frustrated with this that I created two new sigs for the
"troublesome" account, and the sigs now appear correctly for all mail
types on all accounts. Strange behaviour on the old sigs though.
