"Show Window Contents While Dragging" does not stay selected!

After selected ("checking") the effect "Show Contents While Dragging" option, it will "uncheck" or deselect itself whenever the computer is rebooted or logged out and logged in again.

How can I get it to stay put?

Hello XP Newbie,

If your system is a new DELL, the problem resides with the DELL Media Experience software. Uninstalling this program fixes the problem.
