"Show window contents while dragging"

Very bizzare problem, was wondering if anyone had any
ideas on this... In the display menu,
under "Appearance", then "Effects", there is an option
to "Show window contents while dragging". On every
windows XP computer I've seen in the past this is on by
default. On one machine, though, it is off be default.
I can turn it on and click apply, and it works, but is
off by default again when I reboot. So basically I have
to turn it back on every time I even log in. Just
dragging a window frame around is annoying, is there any
way to fix this? To make is save the setting? Maybe I
can tweak the registry? help? :(

Is this a Dell computer? If so, uninstall the Dell Media Desktop. This
is a known issue with Dells and this unpleasant little piece of
software. While you're there, uninstall the Dell support thingy, too.

Yup, it's a Dell. I'll try it tomorrow when I get to
work, I think you have the answer. Many thanks man.
