Sharing a printer

I have recently bought a new brother MFC-440CN all in one printer. It is
hooked up to my desktop. I cannot share the printer with my laptop. My old
printer was just fine, but this one is giving me trouble. I have tried I
thought everything. Can someone please walk me through the troubleshooting..
I have used all the troubleshooting on my help file..
