Sharepoint connection creates multiple personal folders

I'm having a problem with Outlook 2007 after connecting to 'My Site' in our
corporate Sharepoint.

Every time I restart Outlook many (30 - 40) personal folders get added to my
folder list. They are also listed in my Data Files in Account Settings.
Strangely, no associated PST files seem to be created. This happens when
Outlook is in Exchange Cached mode.

This slows Outlook down a great deal. I can only resolve it by removing the
Sharepoint list entry and manually removing the Personal Folders one - at - a
- time. It is usually quicker for me to recreate my MAPI profile.

If I switch Outlook to non-cached mode, one personal folder rapidly appears
and disappears at the bottom of my folder list. Again, removing the
Sharepoint list entry from Account settings seems to resolve it. (I don't get
the multiple personal folders)

I can live with this, but several other people on our network have the same
issue.

Any ideas?
Thanks, Newt

So funny you should post this, as I was just upgraded to Office 2007
yesterday, and am also experiencing the rapidly appearing /
disappearing Personal Folders in my folder list. I have never defined
any Personal Folders, and while I have used our organization's
SharePoint portal (and My Site), no "SharePoint Lists" are defined in
Outlook data file management. I am also not using Cached Mode.

Yours is the only mention of this I've found so far via googling.

Update: I had defined an Internet Calendar that was no longer
working. After I removed that, the problem seems to have vanished.

Glad to hear that you've resolved your problem. Unfortunately, I haven't set
up any Internet Calendars.

The only link between all machines exhibiting this is that they've all
opened 'My Site' in Sharepoint.

( I couldn't find any reference to this online either - except googling now
finds this post *sigh* )
