Sharepoint Lists and Flickering

We have some users who's Outlook will start flickering with high CPU until
they go to their Account Settings and remote their Personal Folders from the
SharePoint Lists tab. This solves the immediate problem but doesn't resolve
the problem. The SharePoint list and the flickering always returns. This is
not something that affects all users, just a small minority.

Any help would be appreciated.
