duplicate personal folders

when I upgraded to Outlook 2007, two "personal folders" were created. There
is a mixture of old and newer in each folder so one is not a duplicate of the
other and my In and Sent boxes are in different folders. Is there a quicker
way of deleting duplicate folders, sub folders and actual emails? Thanks in
advance.

Does one set of Personal Folders only contain data from your 2007
installation date?
In data file management whch set of personal folders is designated the
default msg store? (The new one, likely the topmost set?)
What version did you upgrade from?
