Justin has a youthful attitude fresh with excitement...

Perhaps he has much to teach us.. perhaps we are really getting old... and
cranky.

Perhaps he has the winner attitude that says "we must go forth with what
we have,
there is no use in crying about spilled milk"

That's part of it, but in itself, that's blind. I wouldn't just accept
anything MS throws at me. In fact, so much so, we use Macs and Linux for
certain functions. However, as a PC desktop, I do see Vista in that light.
But then again there are countless people still on W2K workstation instead
of XP. So why not have the next generation of countless people on XP while
they skip Vista? That's perfectly valid.

I would just hate to see some people miss out on some pretty cool stuff.
Justin also has shown some flexibility in his views... and that is good...
Thanks!

Let's go back to a very basic point. This might be ignorant, I don't know.
It seems like simpley logic.

Regardless of all the "What MS should have done", "what compatibility they
should have included", let's look at Vista as it is.

This is only going to work if you believe me or have experienced it
yourself. I have used very stable machines running Vista. I have used very
unstable machines running Vista. What's at fault? Vista CAN work and work
well. It only stands to reason that once compatibility gains ground then
there will be a LOT more happy people out there.

With that said, I challenge the wait until SP1 or SP2. I don't think it'll
take that long. That's my opinion.

We being the computer industry/community you idiot. Removing your foot from
your mouth might help you to type better comments.

Hint: You don't speak for the computer industry or community. You can
only speak for yourself and you do a piss poor job of that. <snicker>

I pegged your problem. There are some new people here that won't take
your guff. You've been beaten up time and time again and proved beyond
any doubt to know next to nothing on anything computer related by a
lot of different posters yet the dim bulb you are you just keep coming
back to be slapped down again. Strange hobby you got Justin. You into
S&M too?

I never spoke for anyone. I guess, as usual, you didn't understand.

You keep saying this but you have no posts to back it up. So, what's your
point?

No, YOU don't understand. When you use 'we' which you use frequently,
it implies you're speaking in some capacity for others. You surely do
not.

You should read some of your own posts. Slowly. Better yet have some
friend that isn't afraid to tell you the truth read them back to you.
You'll be amazed how dumb or a smart ass punk you sound like on so
many topics. While you won't believe it, I'm actually doing you a huge
favor telling you. You desperately need to clean up your act if you
ever want to be more than a poster everybody kicks around.

Wow, did you just flip that? I never would have seen that coming!!!

You were TOLD what I meant by what I said. So, YOU are wrong.

Nope, I don't need to. You have already been told many other posters that
YOU do not read correctly. That YOU are wrong.

How about this instead. You have a friend read THIS back to you:

So, as was stated, when XP was first released, drivers were a nightmare.
Not all! Don't get me wrong. Many drivers worked. However to compare
W2K
to XP versus XP to Vista....there is no real connection.

(wow, how "dumb or a smart ass punk" that sounded!)

Totally bogus as usual. I've run every version of Windows there ever
was. I had zero, nanda, no issues with XP right out of the box, got
version 1, on the first say it went public. Hint: Just because you're
a dummy and can't get things to work doesn't mean everybody is as dumb
as you seem to be.

(hum...dummy? dumb?...who's the smart ass punk?)

OMG! Could you two chill, even for a day? This isn't the Adam Vs. Justin NG.
But you both seem intent on making it such. Seems like such a shame to me
because at least the both of you attempt to assist others. Why you're at
each other's throats is beyond me, and none of my business, but, geez, plonk
each other or something...

Justin,

C'mon! As I just replied to Adam, this ain't the Justin Vs. Adam NG! You
guys are at each other's throats daily. OMG, give it a rest! As stated in my
post to Adam; don't understand why u2 are at each other, not my business,
but for two guys who at least attempt to assist others in this NG, your
daily sniping at each other is just wasting bandwidth.

For god's sake, if you guys can't get along, plonk each other.

Having watched Microsoft evolve and improve it's OS over the years, XP was
the best and most stable. I thought that Vista would be at least an equal or
better. It is not. The so called security features impede productivity and

This is the same thing people said when win95 "replaced" DOS 6.22 and
Win3.11. Then they said it again when Win98 "replaced" Win95. Then I
continued reading same when XP "replaced" Win98.

Some things never change, and that I'm thankful for :)
