Several instances of Outlook still open when Win 7 closes?

Everytime I go to reboot Win 7 it gives me a list of programs still open, all
of which are Outlook. In some cases there are 10 versions of it open, even
though I was done with the program. Does anyone know what is causing this
and better yet, how to make it so Outlook unloads from memory when I am done
with it? FYI - I do not have Outlook minimize to the tray...I just close it.
