Windows 7 + Outlook 2007 Bug

Jim D.

This bug occurs when Outlook is set to Hide itself when Minimized, and
Outlook is pinned to the Taskbar.
After minimizing Outlook, Clicking the pinned link doesn't restore the tray
minimized version of outlook, new window is created. Not sure if this is an
outlook bug or a Windows 7 issue.. but I suspect a little bit of both.

I believe it’s a limitation of pinned links (and its not just a problem with
minimized outlook, but it is more likely you'll try to un-minimize it using
the pinned link). The shortcuts normally use the /recycle switch but when
its pinned, it doesn't use a switch, so clicking it will always open a new
window rather than reuse an already open window.

Reproduced. This is a bug! The text says that it will restore Outlook when
you click on the icon. But, it doesn't it just gives you a list of
duplicated windows. I'll assume this is logged already.

I suspected, But that still means it's a bug. I'm sure that most apps that
don't use some type of singelton code that hide to the taskbar and get Pinned
will have this problem.
