Setup Stops Responding with 34 Minutes Remaining.

Hi. I'm not an expert here but I'll try my best to explain
what had happen. Hope you guys can help me out.

Recently I reformatted my computer and try to install a
fresh copy of Windows xp pro. I deleted my C partition and
created another clean partition where I could install
windows. The problem occurs when windows try to install
devices on my computer and it stops responding on 34
minutes left. I "googled" around and found a Microsoft
article on Setup Stops Responding with 34 Minutes
Remaining. I thought there's a problem with my hardware so
I took out everything, clean it with compressed gas and
clean cloth and install back all the hardware into my
computer. This time it gets even worst, I still can't
manage to install windows even though I removed some of the
hardware such as network card, modem, USB mouse and I even
try putting my ram on other slots. But still I'm stuck at
34 minutes left. And once a while when I reset my computer
I get this long beeping sound from my motherboard and
there's no display on my monitor. Can someone please tell
me what should I do now? I'm very confused. Should I bring
it to a shop or is there any alternative that is worth
trying? The only thing I'm worried about bringing it back
to a shop is that they'll cheat me and convince me that my
hardware is faulty when it is not and I got to spend some
money getting new hardware. Please help me out. Thanks in
advance!

My PC specs.
Asus P4SE/U2 Motherboard
Asus CD-RW
Asus CD-Rom
MSI GeForce 4 Ti4200 8X
Kingston Value Ram 512mb PC3200 CL3
Seagate Barracuda 120GB
Low profile Network card & modem.

Well, not all computer techs are crooks you know. >ahem< And it
certainly does sound like you do have faulty hardware. The beeps you're
getting indicate that there is a problem with the video. Other
components may be bad as well. Ask friends or colleagues for
recommendations. Don't use a BestBuy or CompUSA type of store.

Hi,

Sounds like one of your hardware is bad. Does your
motherboard have any indicator lights show its status,
some of them do. Also if you have any spare parts around
try swapping them in. For a basic setup, you can just try
having on the Motherboard, Video card, RAM, PS2 keyboard
and mouse. If you have problems still, then try to swap
out the video card and try again. Usually when the
motherboard beeps at you like that, it indicating some
piece of hardware is bad.
