Setup of a program aborted

Dear all
When I tried to install a new program, the setup aborted
with the message "Failed to install:1628"
Where can I find the signification of this message.
I have two PC's running Win XP Pro
One is Ok (PIII,600), the message came on the second
(P4,2Gz)
The program that failed to continue is the installation
of AVerDVD EZMaker USB2.0
In practice I would like to know where I can find the
list of Microsoft WinXP error messages; I did'nt
as well in Knowledge base as in the Technet doc

You should contact AVerDVD tech support for answers regarding their
program.
