SetConfig Application

I had a major HD problem which required a clean install of WinXP. I was
advised by an MVP in one of these NGs to install my apps from the
distribution CDs rather than from backup. I am slowly restoring my data
files.

Problem. Each time I boot I receive a "SetConfig Application" box with an
invitation to send a report to Microsoft (which I do). After the Report is
sent my PC appears to work normally. What kind of situation causes this
problem? Is there anything I can do to correct things?

Peter.

This is a known problem with certain HP printers'
software. Simply locate the file SetConfig.exe and rename
it (SetConfig.xex) and your problem will be solved.

Good Luck !
