service pack 1 wont download

I have tried several times to download the service pack
for IE6 and it just keeps timing me out. OK maybe I should
use broadband but for some the modem is the only option. I
downloaded the SP1 onto a disc and tried to upload it onto
my pc at home but the exe file just keeps trying to
connect to the internet. Can anyone help?

Thanks for this, The problem is that the sp1 keeps timing
me out and when I click on manual exe of a stored file it
trys to connect to the internet again. How do I get the
exe file to recognise the files already available on my
usb pen

Did you download the full SP1 file?
Why not wait for SP2. It will be available on disk from MS in the future or on a
magazine cover disk probably in the next couple of weeks.
