Just purchased and installed windows xp home edition
version 2002w/service pack 1 - reg# 55277-OEM-
0046704-07443 on Hewl.Pack.Pavilion 6746c.
Everything works except connection to internet.
Modem shows operating - and it worked with the
previous OS which was XP Professional. Reason
for "downgrading" rational but irrelevant with
this problem. The installation disk was bought
on the internet (we thought from Microsoft) but
apparently from another source. It would seem
that the new CD lacks something in the "turnon"
department. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
