I have tweak ui but can't find how to modify send to links with it,
please give the method, thanks

Now I understand what you are talking about, but I'm not sure that you really
have a problem.

Each entry in the Program listing can be made up of Folders, Subfolders, and
shortcuts to various applications or simply shortcuts, as noted at the bottom of
the listing. You have to navigate down to the application level in order to see
the menu in question. If it happens to an EXE file, the correct menu will appear
on a right-click.

Folders and Subfolders will not display that same menu since they are not
executable in themselves. Applications that are not EXE files will display a
menu that is appropriate for them.

In other words, I think what you're seeing in the Program listing is quite
normal.

Here's a sample to try: Click on Programs > Accessories > System, then right
click on Backup. You should now see the menu you're looking for.

Hope this helps.

| Thanks for your patience. When I click on start and then all programs a list
| of all my programs appear. When I right click on any program, not just one,the
| little window that contains the following items (Open,Run As,Scan with
| AVG,send to, etc.)does not open."The send to" is the one that lets you
| create a shortcut on your desktop.I can right click on any icon on my desktop
| and there is'nt a problem the little window opens.

I did what you told me to do.I clicked on Programs>Accessories>Sysyem, then I
right clicked on Backup and nothing happened.By the way I have already
scanned my computer with my anti virus program and there were no viruses.
I am really sorry to be such a pest but I don't know what to do as I am not
a computer expert. Thanks for your patience.

You appear to have a registry problem related to Context Menu Handlers. Sorry
but I have no experience in this area.

I suggest this approach:

1. Use the Windows XP's System Restore feature to revert back to a time just
before you noticed the problem. Be sure to take a snapshot of your current state
so that you can get back to it, if required. Here's a tech article on the
feature:

How to restore the operating system to a previous state in Windows XP
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306084

More can be found in Windows Help & Support.

2. If still no joy from a System Restore, start a new thread in this newsgroup,
using Context Menu Handlers as a subject, and describe the problem you're having
with the Program list items. Hopefully a real expert in this area will come up
with an easy fix for you.

Just for your information, here's a link to web page which describes the
complexity of this subject:
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/slowrightclick.htm

Good luck!
