Sending new email - open to contacts not global?

When sending a new email, how do I get to open directly to contacts instead
of Global Address list so as not to have to make the change again?

open the address book and look on its tools, options menu - set the contacts
to show first.

Click on the Address Book icon on your tool/menu bar. Then click on Tools >
Options in the Address Book. Sort the order of what you want to see in the
Addressing Tab.
