Using the contacts list instead of the Global Address List

When I am sending a new email using Outlook 2003, and I click on the To
button of the email the default list is the Global Address list. How do I
change the default list to be the contacts list instead of the Global Address
list?

From the main Outlook window, open the address book (ctrl + shift + b)

Select Tools > Options

Change the dropdown box at the very top of the dialog box.
