Address Book/ Contact List problems

Hello,

We have a network with active directory set up that has a list of external users which Outlook uses as the "Global Address List". We also have a Contact list in a public folder in Outlook. We do not want Outlook to use the Global Address list at all, so I went into the address book options and chose the contact list in the public folder for "Show this address list first", keep personal contacts in "contacts", and removed Global Address List from the "When sending mail check names using these address lists in order"

However, it still pulls addresses from the Global Address List if I compose a new message and start typing in the address field.

How can I stop this from happening?

Thanks.

No it doesn't. It pulls from your autocompletion cache when you type in the
To: field, just as it should. Perhaps you don't want to use autocompletion.
If not, turn it off.

Close outlook, locate your *.nk2 file and rename it to .old, and open
outlook. A new .nk2 file will be created and will be blank without any auto
complete names in it.
