Send to Word without slide numbers and footers.

I have sent my slides to word and this seems very straight forward. But I
have to do a lot of formatting on the Word side.
1. For every slide sent there is a slide number (I do not see this in
PowerPoint) that I have to erase.
2. I have added a footer to the master slide with our company logo and
copyright statement. Our Word template has this footer information also and
it is now duplicated. I need to keep the Word one and erase the slide one.
Is there a way to send my slides to Word without this information? I am
using Office 2000. Thanks for any help.
