Send/receive all error

Since two days my send/receive does not work anymore. I get an empty error
message. I deleted the anti virus software but the error message still shows.
It work the entire time and I did not download or install any new program.
What could this be?

What antivirus did you delete, or better yet I hope you meant uninstall.
What email program are you using?
