Seiko Smart Label Printer Install

Jeff

My apologies if this is a duplicate report.

The installer for the Seiko Smart Label Printer will not
run on a XP SP2 machine with MSAS installed. The setup
program begins extracting the files, gets to 100% and
then freezes. If you close MSAS and this point (disabling
the real-time protection is not enough), the setup
program will continue on its way. (I haven't tried this
on a W2K box)

For reference the installer can be downloaded from

Thanks - several people have reported similar symptoms--and most others see
nothing like this. I'll try the app on my machine, although I don't have
the printer. I'm not sure whether this is an issue with a specific install
of Microsoft Antispyware, or perhaps with a particular installer version.

Yep - I can replicate what happened, using the 4.56 driver version.

It hangs at the end of the extraction just before the logo for the actual
install. In my case, I simply shut down Microsoft Antispyware by
right-clicking on the tray icon and choosing shut down, and the install
continued.

Thanks - useful report.
