.
IF!!!! You are using Windows XP-SP2, then you have a
security center. You can go to the security center and
reduce the level of privacy in the firewall to allow the
download of programs.

Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools >
Security Center.

When the security center opens select the Inernet
Options, when the options menu opens select the "privacy"
tab and reduce the level one step at a time, until you
get the updates or whatever to download.

Hi Bud,

Is the particular site added to the Restricted Zone in Internet Explorer? By
default, downloads are blocked from Restricted Sites. If that's not the
case, alter the Internet Zone security settings and enable "File Download"
option.

Click Tools, Internet Options, Security tab
Select Internet Zone, and click Custom Level
Enable the "File Download" option.
