Friend has XP..he has the SP2 upgrade..but doesn't have the Security Centre
Shield showing in Control Panel. Any ideas how to show the Security Centre
Shield? Thanks. J

Look in regedit at:
HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Control Panel\Extended
Properties\{305CA226-D286-468e-B848-2B2E8E697B74} 2\

See if you're missing the wscui.cpl entry

If so...add New>DWORD Value>
using the value name of: %SystemRoot%\system32\wscui.cpl
double click on that and enter the data:
ffffffff and use Hexadecimal
(that's 8 f's)

Ensure that you have the wscui.cpl file in the system32 folder
