As a new user of Windows XP (Media Centre 2005) with SP2 I downloaded and
installed Spybot Search and Destroy. It has identified 2 registry entries
which it seems to suggest are "problems". These are:-
Windows Security Centre.FirewallDisableNotify: Settings
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security
Centre\FirewallDisableNotify!=dword:0
Windows Security Centre.AntiVirusDisableNotify: Settings
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security
Centre\AntiVirusDisableNotify!=dword:0
I have not the faintest notion what this means - so do I or do I not select
the "fix" option?
I have Norton Internet Security 2006 running, with IE6 (also SP2).
I would welcome advice from those who know about these things, please.
