Spybot Critical warnings

Spybot scan reveals 4 "supposed" security risks:
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE_\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security
Center\AntiVirusDisableNotify!=dword:0" and,

".......FirewallOverride!=dword:0" and,

".......FirewallDisableNotify!=dword:0" amd

.........AntiVirusOverride!=dword:0"

Should these registry entries be deleted as Spybot
suggests?

How interesting that I tuned in with (almost) the same question. My
"security risk" is identified as: AntivirusDisableNotify and the value is
(1).
I wonder if the latest Spybot "update" is causing something to be flagged
which was always there but never flagged before?

SpyBot is reporting that these registry values are NOT equal to zero. The
reason that they are not equal to zero is either (a) that you have made
these settings in Security Ceter yourself, or (b) you have a McAfee or
Symantec suite installed, which has disabled these parts of the Windows
Security Center, presumably because they consider that they have alternate
ways of doing the same job.

Thanks Robin, I do have Norton Internet Security and
Norton System Works (including NAV). Looks like I better
leave the Registry settings alone and not delete as
Spybot suggests. Thanks for the explanation. I have about
8 spyware removal/monitoring programs installed and this
is the first time that they have refused to "play"
together. REMEMBER, YOU'RE NOT PARANOID, IF THEY ARE
REALLY OUT TO GET YOU.
