security alerts

The Windows Security Alerts icon in my tray frequently pops up a balloon to
tell me that I do not have automatic updates activated. I know this, and
it's deliberate (I choose to get updates manually and do not want my machine
grabbing & installing things I haven't reviewed first). Is there any way to
shut up the Windows Security Alerts (at least in regard to automatic update
being disabled)? Thanks.

Hi Ron,

Try Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Security Center. Click on
"Change how Windows alerts me..."
