Search using Type of File: Folder

Sam

I am trying to search ONLY for matching folders using XP
Pro. I don't want the search to examine anything else
but folders. I can't get it to work...

Start > Search > Files or Folders
Select the black arrow "More Advanced Options"
Look for the text field titled "Type of File"
Click the drop-down arrow
Scroll down and click on "Folder"
Enter the folder name or part of it.

There is an XP user who is able to search for folders
using the instructions above. It doesn't work for me.
One key difference between our search "experience": with
my search, the icon displayed for the Folder entry in the
Type of File list is NOT a folder icon (it is a folder
icon in his search). The icon in my search is a non-
descript icon (the upper left icon in E:\WINDOWS\System32
\shell32.dll).

Can some of you XP users try to do a search using "Type
of File: Folder" and share your results as well as what
the icon looks like for "Type of File: Folder"?

Any other thoughts would be appreciated.

Should be selecting File Folders as My Computer is a folder. Folders include File Folders.

THanks for your responses - I'm not sure they are
relevant to my post though - if you follow the steps I've
included, you will understand the issue. Thanks-
